Pinmanship
StylePin is unique because it tailors to all things fashion in a social media level.
The guidelines below are suggestions to help keep our community positive and to ensure that every pin is useful to other people.
1. Courtesy
StylePin is a community of fashion and style enthusiasts. We know that tastes are personal, but be courteous in your comments.
2. Give Credit Where Credit is Due
Pins are the most useful when they have links back to the original source. If you notice that a pin is not sourced correctly, leave a comment so the original pinner so that he/she can update the source.
3. Tag your photos
Relating to Rule #2. Tag the items in your photos! Each photo is to at least show ONE piece of clothing. Yes, even if it's showing partially a T-shirt or blouse. We want our pinners to know where you found such a great piece; even if it's a tearsheet from a magazine or catalog.
4. Avoid Self-Promotion
StylePin is designed to collect and share fashion and style photos you love, including photos of yourself. If you have a great sense of style and want to post a quality-looking photo of yourself, we just ask you to not pin 10 photos of yourself simultaneously. Come on, would you really want to see 10 photos of you next to each other in the StylePin stream? Shallow, aren't we? Just make it easier for us by collaging your images of the same outfit. You can collage up to three images of the same look.
5. Report Malicious Content
Nudity and Hateful content are not allowed. If you are mean or gross, you are not welcomed. If you find content that is objectionable or violates our Terms of Service just click on “Report Pin” from that photo. Once notified, our team will review the photo or comment, and if obstructive, we will remove that pin (and possibly that member) immediately.
6. Let Us Hear from You
We love getting input and feedback from our members. So please contact us to make StylePin a better community.
